Through collaboration, awareness-building, and acting as a key resource in removing barriers, Embracing You, LLC partners with individuals, families, organizations, and communities to create, sustain, and assess the critical supports needed for Black youth and Black women. As a Black woman and first-generation college student, Tamika understands the barriers many Black youth and Black women face. Raised in a community with limited resources but abundant potential, Tamika’s personal journey shaped the foundation of Embracing You, LLC.
Through her education and career, Tamika has seen firsthand how mentorship, support, and intentional action can transform lives. Her doctoral research highlights the resilience of Black girls in K-12 systems and emphasizes the need for safe, empowering spaces.
